The YMCA of Greater Birmingham and Camp Cosby welcomes your gift of securities through direct transfer to our brokerage account. When you donate appreciated stock, the Y receives full value of the stock (as we are a tax-exempt charitable organization). As the donor, you are not required to pay capital gains tax on the donated stock and you also receive a charitable giving deduction.
